Renishaw Property Developments is a subsidiary of Crookes Brothers Ltd., focused on growing the KZN Mid-South Coast. As a key player in the Renishaw Coastal Precinct, we offer prime land for developers who align with our vision of sustainable, inclusive, and community-focused growth, backed by Crookes Brothers Ltd. and Crocker Properties.

Renishaw dedicates only 20% of its 1,300 hectares to development, preserving 80% for conservation. This approach not only maintains the area’s natural beauty and biodiversity but also sets a new standard for sustainable development in South Africa.

Our projects include a new mixed-use shopping centre, a filling station, a school, a future hospital site, and zoning for a light industrial node. These developments aim to create a bustling hub of activity, attract more investment, and stimulate economic growth.

We prioritize a holistic and collaborative development approach, enhancing existing infrastructure and creating jobs for local residents. Our initiatives include a 142-hectare land donation to the Amandawe community and ongoing training and career advancement opportunities for the youth, bridging the wealth gap and driving sustainable economic growth.

The Eastern Seaboard Initiative is facilitated by the Department of Trade Industry and Competition (DTIC) and aims to remove government red tape. With an expected investment of around R15 billion, this initiative will create thousands of jobs and transform the local economy.

Our flagship project, Renishaw Hills, is a mature lifestyle estate that has sold 50% of its units and seen a 60% increase in property values since 2018. This success has been recognized nationally, including by President Cyril Ramaphosa at the 5th SA Investment Conference.

Current projects include a mixed use shopping centre with apartments by Cubisol Property Fund, a new filling station by the Hampsons, two new padel courts, discussions for a new church, negotiations with a prominent school group for a new school from early childhood development expanding to high school, residential and commercial nodes, a future hospital site, and interest from a prominent hotel group.

The KZN Mid-South Coast offers a subtropical climate, cheaper land prices compared to the North Coast, and high investment growth potential. Unlike the developed North Coast, the South Coast is still emerging, offering ample opportunities for new projects and significant returns on investment.

Renishaw ensures sustainable development by preserving 80% of its land for conservation and integrating development with existing infrastructure to support local businesses. This approach not only maintains the area’s ecological balance but also fosters community upliftment and economic growth.
